My name is Jon Spenceley. I am: a Support Rockstar for FreshBooks, music connoisseur, rum aficionado, gentleman buccaneer.
I greet every day with the hope that I can bring a smile to someone’s face. My job lets me talk to customers all day, find out what makes businesses tick, and do my best to make sure I’m finding the right answer for every problem that comes up. Sometimes stressful, always chaotic, but wonderfully challenging.
I am also passionate about getting people together and making the happy happen. I love planning parties, events, and customer meetups. In my lifetime I’ve had the privilege of planning Orientation Week events for some of the University of Guelph’s finest first-year students, birthday parties for the coolest kids in town, customer drink-ups and dinners for the best customers a company could ask for, and company parties for the most amazing coworkers I’ve ever had. It all kind of blurs together after a while, but the smile on my face never fades.
I’m at my element with a microphone in one hand, a pina colada in the other, and a pirate hat perched proudly on my head. I like making people laugh until they almost pee. It’s one of my many talents.
Self-doubt is not one of them.
